Job Description

Application from eligible candidates having domicile of the Province of Sindh are invited for the vacant vacancies in the Directorate General of Public Libraries Sindh, Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Department, as per qualification and experience indicated against the following post(s) within (15) days of publication of this advertisement.

For the post of Library Assistant [BPS-14], Qualification of Bachelors' Degree in Library Science at least in 2nd Division from a HEC recognized University is required.

For the post of Classifier (BPS-13), Bachelors' Degree in Library Science at least in 2nd Division from a HEC recognized University is required.

For the post of Account Assistant (BPS-11), B.Com at least in 2nd Division from a HEC recognized University is required.

Instructions

Applicants must have successfully passed the General Screening Test of Graduation Category with at least 40% marks, conducted by the Sukkur IBA Testing Services (STS), and possess its certificate, issued by STS, as required for appointment to the aforementioned post.

Age of the applicants who applied for the test prior to promulgation of the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of upper age limit) Rules, 2024, dated: 16th October, 2024, shall be calculated with effect from the closing date of submission of application i.e. 30.11.2021, the upper age relaxation limit will be 15 years however, 05 years for those who applied after the promulgation of above Rules and the age shall be calculated, as per Sindh Government Notification of Services, General Administration and Coordination Department.

The share of quota for reserved for the initial appointment shall be adhered to as per Law/Rules/Policy of the Government of Sindh.

Those Applicants who are already in Government service should get NOC from their time of interview for submission before the Department Selection Committee.

The appointment shall be made as per the Policy Notified by the Government of Sindh, and under provision of Sindh Civil Servants Act 1973 and its rule, as amended from time to time.

Only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

The Applicants should appear before the Department Selection Committee along with original documents for interview as per the schedule to be uploaded on the Job Portal.

No TA/DA will be admissible for interview
